This 2018 Liubao tea is made from local Yuanzhong tea trees growing in the core Liubao region of Wuzhou, Guangxi. It is a smooth, naturally aged dark tea with low caffeine and a soft, sweet character. The tea is suitable for daily drinking, long tea sessions, and tea drinkers who enjoy traditional handcrafted aged teas with floral and woody notes.

The aroma is elegant and layered with natural jasmine fragrance, aged wood, herbal notes, honey sweetness, and light camphor. The taste is mellow, smooth, sweet like brown sugar syrup, and soft with a glutinous texture. The liquor feels gentle and jade-like in the mouth with a clean, lingering sweetness and long-lasting finish. The flavor becomes deeper and richer when boiled.

This tea is traditionally handcrafted using firewood fixation, hand rolling, charcoal roasting, light fermentation, and natural aging. It follows the classic double steaming and double pressing Liubao technique. The natural floral aroma comes from the tea variety, processing, and aging, without added flowers or scenting.

Steeping Guidelines

Easy Mug Brew

Use a tea-to-water ratio of 1:150. Put the leaves directly into a mug, add boiling water, and steep for 5 to 7 minutes. When about one-third of the tea remains, refill with boiling water to continue brewing.

Thermal Steeping

Use a tea-to-water ratio of 1:250. Pour boiling water into a ceramic-lined insulated flask or teapot. Close the lid and let it steep for 1 to 2 hours before drinking. When about one-third of the tea remains, refill with boiling water to continue brewing and enjoying.
