This traditional Anhua Flower Brick Tea comes from Muyangjie, a high-mountain tea region known for its old-growth tea trees and naturally sweet profile. The tea is smooth, rich, and easy to drink, making it ideal for dark tea lovers, daily tea drinkers, and anyone looking for a mellow aged tea with low bitterness and long-lasting sweetness.

The aroma is fruity, honey-like, and woody, with notes of ripe plum, jujube, raisin, and fresh sugarcane. The liquor is thick, smooth, and full-bodied with a lingering sweetness that stays in the mouth and throat. Gongfu brewing brings out concentrated fruit and honey notes, while boiling creates a deeper and rounder sweetness. The texture is soft, mellow, and comforting, with a clean finish and gentle tea energy.

This tea is made using the traditional cold fermentation method used for classic Flower Brick tea. The leaves undergo careful piling and slow fermentation to reduce bitterness and create a smooth, balanced character. Smoke-free baking preserves the tea’s pure sweetness and clean aroma. The tea brick naturally breaks into small pieces, making brewing simple and convenient. The tea reflects traditional handcrafted dark tea processing from Anhua.

Steeping Guidelines

Easy Mug Brew

Use a tea-to-water ratio of 1:100. Put the leaves directly into a mug, add boiling water, and steep for 5 to 7 minutes. When about one-third of the tea remains, refill with boiling water to continue brewing.

Traditional Gongfu Style

Pre-warm the gaiwan or Yixing teapot. Use a tea-to-water ratio of 1:30. Brew with water at 100°C (212°F). For the first two infusions, steep for about 10 seconds each. Gradually increase the steeping time with each additional infusion. Pour the tea liquor completely out after each brew.

Thermal Steeping

Use a tea-to-water ratio of 1:200. Pour boiling water into a ceramic-lined insulated flask or teapot. Close the lid and let it steep for 1 to 2 hours before drinking. When about one-third of the tea remains, refill with boiling water to continue brewing and enjoying.
