This is the Gaoma Cangjuan 2019 Centuries Old Tree Qianliang Tea. It is a premium Chinese dark tea with low caffeine and high nutritional value. This tea is famous for its very smooth texture, thick body, and strong wild mountain energy. It helps generate continuous saliva and brings a unique relaxing feeling to the body. It is perfect for tea collectors, experienced tea lovers, and anyone who wants a bold, high-quality dark tea with great aging potential.

Every sip offers an amazing smell and taste. The brewed liquor is an amber color and looks thick like oil. It has a pure aroma of wild wood, herbs, camphor, and licorice. The taste is very smooth, sweet, and sticky without any bitterness. As you drink it, you will feel a minty coolness in your throat and a long-lasting sweet aftertaste. The tea is very strong and rich, and the pleasant flavor stays in your mouth for over twelve infusions.

Rich history and legendary craftsmanship define this tea. It comes from Gaoma, which was a special imperial tea garden during the Qing Dynasty. A famous historical stone monument still stands there today to protect the land. This tea is crafted into traditional Qianliang tea logs and then sliced into convenient cakes. The tea is tightly pressed with a beautiful dark oily sheen. The villagers use traditional methods and respect nature by harvesting the leaves only once a year.

Steeping Guidelines

Easy Mug Brew

Use a tea-to-water ratio of 1:100. Put the leaves directly into a mug, add boiling water, and steep for 5 to 7 minutes. When about one-third of the tea remains, refill with boiling water to continue brewing.

Traditional Gongfu Style

Pre-warm the gaiwan or Yixing teapot. Use a tea-to-water ratio of 1:30. Brew with water at 100°C (212°F). For the first two infusions, steep for about 10 seconds each. Gradually increase the steeping time with each additional infusion. Pour the tea liquor completely out after each brew.

Thermal Steeping

Use a tea-to-water ratio of 1:200. Pour boiling water into a ceramic-lined insulated flask or teapot. Close the lid and let it steep for 1 to 2 hours before drinking. When about one-third of the tea remains, refill with boiling water to continue brewing and enjoying.
