Basic Information

Discover the comfort and warmth of Chenpi Liu Bao Tea, a thoughtfully crafted blend perfect for the colder months. Each set contains three elegant boxes, and each box includes five individually wrapped portions for easy use and lasting freshness. The tea is composed of premium 2016 Xinhui Da Hong tangerine peel—renowned for its rich sweetness and high quality—and 2016 fermented Liu Bao tea, known for its mellow, earthy character and gentle warmth compared to raw teas.

Every tea portion is shaped like a small compressed biscuit, hygienically packaged for convenience. On the back of each piece, a subtle score mark allows you to easily split the portion in half if you prefer a lighter brew. For example, in a 550ml teapot, half a portion is sufficient. Simply add boiling water and steep for 30 minutes to an hour to extract the full depth of flavor.

When you open the lid, you’re greeted by the soothing aroma of aged tangerine peel mingling with the rich scent of Liu Bao—creamy, sweet, and harmonious. The balance between fruit and tea is exceptional, offering a layered, satisfying cup. Any unused portions can be resealed in the original foil pouch and returned to the box for future enjoyment.

Steeping Guidelines

Easy Mug Brew

Use a tea-to-water ratio of 1:100. Put the leaves directly into a mug, add boiling water, and steep for 5 to 7 minutes. When about one-third of the tea remains, refill with boiling water to continue brewing.

Traditional Gongfu Style

Pre-warm the gaiwan or Yixing teapot. Use a tea-to-water ratio of 1:30. Brew with water at 100°C (212°F). For the first two infusions, steep for about 10 seconds each. Gradually increase the steeping time with each additional infusion. Pour the tea liquor completely out after each brew.

Thermal Steeping

Use a tea-to-water ratio of 1:200. Pour boiling water into a ceramic-lined insulated flask or teapot. Close the lid and let it steep for 1 to 2 hours before drinking. When about one-third of the tea remains, refill with boiling water to continue brewing and enjoying.
