Centuries-old Tree Black Tea
Centuries-old Tree Black Tea
The fresh leaves of this Centuries-old Tree Black Tea 百年古树红茶 are handpicked from ancient trees over 100 years old, located deep within the rugged mountains of Fengqing, during the spring harvest of one bud and two leaves. Due to the isolated and difficult terrain, with limited access and high challenges in cultivation and picking, these are truly wild mountain teas, also known as free-range teas. Unsurprisingly, they have passed national organic certification. The region's altitude is 2,300 meters, making it the highest tea-growing area in China. To prevent delays during the long journey out of the mountains, which could affect the optimal processing period, a tea processing factory has been built at the highest elevation in the country, ensuring the tea is processed immediately after harvest. This tea is managed and produced according to organic standards. The dried leaves are thick and robust, with a high, expressive aroma. The tea liquor has a rich, layered taste, carrying a unique wild autumnal charm. After aging, it develops notes of licorice honey and a refreshing coolness.
