Chujian – Liu Bao Tea 8-in-1 Sampler Set 56g (7g x 8)
First Stage – Start with These:
2019 "Xi Nuo 喜糯“: Made from pure, tender Guiqing cultivar tea leaves, under the supervision of an Intangible Cultural Heritage inheritor. Its aroma evokes both orchid and honey, with a sweet, mellow, and delicately glutinous fragrance.
2015 “Hei Mo Li 黑茉莉 (Black Jasmine)”: Gentle jasmine fragrance layered with the sweetness of brown sugar water.
2018 “Chun Shu 醇熟”: Alongside the characteristic fungal note, this tea has mysteriously developed a hint of aged aroma. Rich and full-bodied.
Second Stage – A Deeper Exploration:
2012 “Fang Hua 芳华”: Red bean aroma dominates; its taste is so close to red bean soup that it’s a great starting point for aged Liu Bao tea.
2019 “Jin Hua 金花 (Golden Flower)” Liu Bao: Notes of sweet fungi and creamy milk. Smooth on the palate with a mellow, sweet flavor.
2012 “Tai Fei 太妃”: Old Tea Nuggets, tightly compressed and particularly well suited for simmering or thermos brewing. The liquor is rich, thick, and full-bodied, with delightful notes of creamy caramel and roasted nuts.
Third Stage – Deeper and Wilder:
2021 “Ancient Wild Tree 古树野生六堡茶块”: Made from wild Liu Bao tea. Strong tea energy with pine smoke and betel nut aromas. The liquor is thick, sweet, and salivating.
2024 “Sheqian Tea 社前茶”: The core growing region gives this tea a distinctive regional character, complemented by floral and honey-like notes. It delivers a noticeable after-drinking sensation, with a long-lasting aroma.
