Description
The name of the Hanwa (汉瓦) comes from its resemblance to Chinese roof tiles. The Hanwa teapot is characterized by its simple, elegant shape and its distinctive hanwa-shaped button or finial. The teapot's body is typically round or oval, and its spout is short and straight. The button is typically small and half-cylindrical, just like a hanwa. The practical wide-mouth design and precisely refined inner filter ensure a smooth pour. The finely crafted base offers a great feel in hand.

Clay
This teapot is crafted from top-grade original ore Cultural Revolution Old Purple Clay (文革老紫泥, Wenge Lao Zini), with an antique luster. During the Cultural Revolution, the production of Yixing teapots was interrupted due to political turmoil and economic difficulties. The purple clay mined during that period is limited in quantity and highly valued for its historical and collectible significance. The clay undergoes long-term aging, which gives it excellent plasticity and breathability, making it suitable for crafting various shapes and styles of Yixing teapots.
