This is an authentic 2014 Qian Liang dark tea. It is an aged, handcrafted tea known as the King of Teas for its rich history and premium quality. This tea is perfect for collectors, history lovers, and tea enthusiasts looking for a smooth, low-caffeine brew with high theanine.
The tea offers a clean, mellow, and smooth taste with a refreshing, cooling aftertaste. The dry leaves carry a faint, pure smoky aroma and sweet notes of honey, bean curd, and milk. When brewed, it reveals a rich, persistent fragrance of camphor wood, herbs, goji berries, and sweet flowers that lingers beautifully on the cup.
Qian Liang tea dates back to the Qing Dynasty and was once used as an imperial tribute tea for Emperor Jiaqing. In 2008, its traditional production method was officially listed as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage of China. Teams of 6 to 8 skilled craftsmen manually trample and compress the tea rolls during the summer using entirely ancient, machine-free techniques, followed by natural sun-drying and eight years of clean aging at the famous Baishaxi Tea Factory.
