Tea Story

This tea is a premium rock tea grown in the high-altitude regions of Wuyi Mountain. Included in UNESCO’s World Natural and Cultural Heritage in December 1999, Wuyishan features the largest uninterrupted forest in China. The surface soil is formed by weathered acidic rocks with rich humus, which is why the Wuyi Rock tea has a unique flavor. Shui Xian, meaning "narcissus" in Chinese, is named for its delicate floral notes that often accompany the tea's rich, roasted character.

These tea leaves undergo careful withering, rolling, and oxidation to develop their rich profile. After being roasted multiple times, the tea reveals a deep, floral aroma, with layers of orchid and osmanthus, accompanied by a smooth, full-bodied taste that has hints of roasted nuts and a lingering, sweet aftertaste. The balance between the mineral notes from the rocky terrain and the sweetness from the leaves creates a harmonious experience that is both bold and refined.

This particular batch of Shui Xian is crafted by Lingxi, a master tea maker known for her dedication to preserving the authenticity and quality of Wuyi teas. Lingxi’s expertise in the traditional methods, coupled with her innovative approach, results in a tea that not only honors the heritage of Wuyi rock tea but also elevates it to new heights. Her work is considered rare and highly sought after by tea enthusiasts who appreciate the skill and artistry involved in producing such a distinguished tea.
