Tea Story
Tea Story
White tea from Fuding City, Fujian Province, is cultivated in the misty mountains, benefiting from the ideal climate and soil conditions. A prominent variety of Fuding White Tea is the White Peony of King's grade (白牡丹王), known for its unique blend of young tea buds and leaves. This combination offers a harmonious balance of sweetness and complexity. The tea leaves used in Peony King are harvested in early spring, during the emergence of the first buds and young leaves. The hand-picking process is meticulous, ensuring only the finest tea leaves are selected. This top-grade White Peony tea is rich in polyphenols and catechins, well-known for their antioxidant properties, which help combat free radicals.
The dry leaves of White Peony tea present a mix of silver, green, and white hues which, when brewed, transform into a light amber infusion. The resulting brew envelopes a subtle, fresh fragrance with floral and fruity notes, reminiscent of peonies and ripe apricots. This brew imparts a smooth, mellow taste with natural sweetness and hints of honey and melon. Its delicate complexity makes it a favorite among tea connoisseurs. White Peony tea is delightful to drink fresh and holds great potential for long-term storage, during which it can develop deeper, more complex flavors, offering a unique and rewarding experience for tea enthusiasts.
