Basic Information

This Ripe Pu-erh Tea Brick is crafted in a clean, standardized workshop and meticulously blended by a renowned tea master. It stands out for its clean fermentation process, free from the usual musty odor sometimes found in Pu-erh. Instead, it offers a distinctive jujube fragrance, a naturally sweet and smooth taste, and a mellow mouthfeel that reflects expert craftsmanship and high standards in tea production.

The tea liquor is bright reddish in color, with a pure, rich aroma that invites you in with every steep. On the palate, it delivers a full-bodied experience—smooth, round, and gently sweet, with a lingering finish. Notes of honey and dried jujube further enhance the complexity, making each sip both comforting and refreshing.

What makes this tea even more special is its origin: the Zhiqing Tea Gardens (知青茶园). These gardens were established in remote, mountainous regions by the Zhiqing—young people who were sent from cities to rural areas during the late 1950s to mid-1970s as part of a historical movement. The tea grown here benefits from pristine natural conditions and traditional cultivation methods. Teas from these gardens carry not only exceptional flavor but also the rich legacy of a unique period in Chinese history, making them treasures of both taste and culture.

Steeping Guidelines

Traditional Gongfu Style

Use a tea-to-water ratio of 1:25. Pre-warm the Gaiwan or Yixing teapot with boiling water, then add the measured tea and let it sit briefly to awaken the leaves. Gently shake the pot before brewing. Pour boiling water slowly into the pot, allowing a soft interaction with the tea. Rinse once, then steep each infusion for about 10 seconds. Adjust steeping time as desired and enjoy multiple smooth, rich brews.

Thermal Steeping

Use a tea-to-water ratio of 1:200. Pour boiling water into a ceramic-lined insulated flask or teapot. Close the lid and let it steep for 1 to 2 hours before drinking. When about one-third of the tea remains, refill with boiling water to continue brewing and enjoying.
