This aged Yongchun Foshou Oolong from Fujian Province is a rare tightly pressed oolong tea made from the famous Foshou cultivar, also known as “Buddha’s Hand.” Harvested in spring 2013 and naturally aged over time, this tea offers a rich fruity aroma, smooth body, and refreshing sweetness with deep complexity. It is ideal for aged oolong lovers, traditional tea drinkers, and anyone who enjoys refined teas with citrus-like fragrance, warming depth, and lasting character.

The aroma is rich and elegant, with distinctive notes of bergamot, snow pear, ripe fruit, honeyed sweetness, and soft floral undertones. The fragrance is expressive yet refined, lingering gently in the cup and throat. The tea liquor is full-bodied, smooth, and fresh, with a silky texture balanced by bright fruity sweetness and a clean refreshing finish. Layers of citrus-like Foshou character gradually unfold through each infusion, creating a lively and immersive tasting experience. The aftertaste is long-lasting, cooling, and uplifting, accompanied by a pleasant physical sensation and deep returning sweetness.

This tea is traditionally handcrafted using classic Fujian oolong processing methods and carefully pressed for aging. The leaves undergo partial oxidation, rolling, and slow roasting to develop complexity and structure suitable for long-term aging. Years of natural aging have softened the tea while deepening its fruity sweetness and rounded texture. The tea was produced under ideal spring weather conditions, including steady sunshine, gentle northern breezes, and balanced humidity, allowing the leaves to develop exceptional aroma and clarity.

Steeping Guidelines

Traditional Gongfu Style

Use 5 grams of tea and place it in a gaiwan or a Yixing teapot. Pour in boiling water to brew. For the first five infusions, pour out the tea immediately without resting. From the sixth to the tenth infusion, allow the tea to steep for 5 to 20 seconds before pouring.

Thermal Steeping

Use a tea-to-water ratio of 1:200. Pour boiling water into a ceramic-lined insulated flask or teapot. Close the lid and let it steep for 1 to 2 hours before drinking. When about one-third of the tea remains, refill with boiling water to continue brewing and enjoying.
