Tea Story

Crafted by the skilled tea artisan Chen Zhengqiao in 2016, this Gong Mei Tea Cake stands as a testament to the region's rich tea-making heritage. This exceptional tea is meticulously crafted from the second and third leaves of the tea plant, harvested during the early spring when the buds are at their peak of freshness and flavor. The gentle touch of experienced tea artisans ensures that the silvery white tea leaves, adorned with downy white hairs, retain their natural essence.

This Gongmei cake is a symphony of delicate flavors and aromas, carefully preserved through a meticulous processing method that highlights the tea's unique characteristics. Upon brewing, this tea unveils a captivating liquor, ranging from light yellow to golden hues. The tea liquor boasts a smooth, mellow texture that gently caresses the palate. Each sip unveils a smooth, mellow symphony of flavors, tantalizing the taste buds with subtle notes of honey, orchard fruits, and delicate floral undertones. The lingering sweetness and refreshing finish leave an indelible impression, inviting further exploration of this exquisite tea.
This tea is also a testament to the art of aging, a process that transforms the tea's character over time. As the years gently unfold, the tea mellows, allowing its flavors to deepen and harmonize, creating a complexity that is both elegant and refined.

The loose tea leaves for this tea were produced in 2016. After two years of natural storage, they were pressed into cakes in 2018 and have been stored in a dry pinewood warehouse ever since.
