This wild Yunnan white tea comes from ancient tea trees in the high mountains of Fengqing, Yunnan, China. Harvested in spring 2024 at 2300 meters altitude, it is naturally wild-grown and organically cultivated. The tea is rich, vibrant, sweet, and deeply layered, with strong mountain character and lasting aftertaste. A good choice for lovers of wild tea, ancient tree tea, and high-mountain white tea.

The aroma is floral, honey-like, fruity, sweet, and delicate, with notes of orchid, glutinous rice, and fresh mountain air. The tea liquor is rich, smooth, vibrant, and mellow, with strong huigan and a lasting sweet aftertaste. The texture is thick and lively, with noticeable tea energy and a refreshing body sensation. The flavor remains clean, sweet, and smooth through many infusions.

The tea is handcrafted using a traditional double-withering process. The leaves are naturally air-withered, then gently sun-dried in the morning and evening. This slow process helps preserve the tea’s natural aroma, sweetness, and wild mountain character.

Steeping Guidelines

Easy Mug Brew

Use a tea-to-water ratio of 1:100. Put the leaves directly into a mug, add boiling water, and steep for 5 to 7 minutes. When about one-third of the tea remains, refill with boiling water to continue brewing.

Traditional Gongfu Style

Pre-warm the gaiwan or Yixing teapot. Use a tea-to-water ratio of 1:30. Brew with water at 100°C (212°F). For the first two infusions, steep for about 15 seconds each. Gradually increase the steeping time with each additional infusion. Pour the tea liquor completely out after each brew.

Thermal Steeping

Use a tea-to-water ratio of 1:200. Pour boiling water into a ceramic-lined insulated flask or teapot. Close the lid and let it steep for 1 to 2 hours before drinking. When about one-third of the tea remains, refill with boiling water to continue brewing and enjoying.
