Heavenly Blessing – 2016 Vintage Golden Flower Fu Brick Tea
A well-aged Fu Brick Dark Tea from Baishaxi, Anhua, Hunan, crafted from tender spring leaves harvested during the 2016 Grain Rain season. Made from carefully selected one-bud-two-leaf material and naturally aged over time, this tea is rich with abundant golden flowers (Eurotium cristatum)—a hallmark of traditional Fu tea. The result is a smooth, mellow, warming tea with a deep aged character, ideal for relaxed daily sipping and long, slow infusions.
The tea opens with a distinctive golden-flower aroma, layered with aged sweetness, honey, jujube, and gentle woody notes. The liquor is a beautiful amber color with a thick, silky texture and a soft, rounded mouthfeel. It is naturally mellow with little bitterness or astringency, followed by notes of jujube, honey, and rock-sugar sweetness. The finish is long-lasting, gentle, and subtly cooling, with a lingering sweetness. Highly durable, it performs beautifully through repeated steepings, while simmering or thermos brewing brings out deeper jujube, caramelized sweetness, and aged warmth.
This tea reflects the traditional craftsmanship of Baishaxi Fu tea. The 2016 spring material was first processed into dark maocha and naturally aged in Baishaxi's traditional warehouse before being refined into Fu bricks in 2021. Traditional techniques such as seven-star stove baking, hand-pressing, and natural golden-flower cultivation help shape its distinctive character. The tea was later cut into convenient blocks in 2025, making it easy to brew without prying apart a whole brick. After years of aging, the interaction between the tea leaves, moisture, time, and golden flowers has created its mature aroma, smooth body, and layered sweetness.
