Jin Yu Man Tang – Ceramic-Lined Insulated Tea Flask 550ml

Created in collaboration with Jingdezhen contemporary ceramic artist Zhu Qing, the “Jin Yu Man Tang” (金玉满堂, Golden Jade and Abundance) tea flask combines traditional Chinese symbolism with a modern artistic style. Inspired by Zhu Qing’s porcelain paintings, the design features peaches and goldfish in vibrant shades of green, pink, red, and gold. The modern composition removes the traditional branches and leaves, allowing the peaches to become the focus of the artwork. More than a tea flask, it is a beautiful piece of contemporary Chinese art designed for everyday use.

The design is filled with auspicious meaning and good wishes. In Chinese culture, peaches symbolize longevity, good fortune, and blessings, while goldfish represent prosperity and abundance. There is also a special wordplay in the name: “Jin Yu” (金玉, gold and jade) and “Jin Yu” (金鱼, goldfish) have the same pronunciation in Chinese. Combined with the peaches, which symbolize longevity and good fortune, the design expresses the traditional wish of “Jin Yu Man Tang” — a home filled with abundance, prosperity, and happiness. The vibrant colors also represent different stages of life, from youthful green to the warmth and richness of maturity.

The ceramic-lined interior is perfect for steeping tea, helping maintain a clean tea flavor while minimizing unwanted metallic or plastic aftertaste. The 316 stainless-steel exterior provides durability, while the ceramic interior is especially suited to slow-steeping teas such as Liubao, ripe Pu-erh, Anhua dark tea, aged white tea, and An Tea.

With its excellent heat retention, this flask is designed for slow-steeping tea. Add about 3 g of tea to the 550 ml flask and let it steep for around 1.5–2 hours, depending on the tea and your preferred strength. Under our test conditions, hot water close to 100°C can remain around 50–60°C after many hours at room temperature. This makes it convenient for enjoying tea slowly throughout the day.

The thoughtful upgrades make everyday use even easier. The lid and flask body feature a magnetic connection, allowing the lid to attach securely and making it less likely to come loose during everyday use. The new version also features a titanium tea strainer for a clean and durable brewing experience. The lid can also be used as a small cup, making the flask practical for work, travel, camping, or everyday tea drinking.
