Vine Tea – Zhangjiajie High Mountain Mei Cha
High Mountain Vine Tea is a premium wild vine tea from the core production area of Zhangjiajie in the Wuling Mountains of Hunan, where tea plants grow at elevations of 800–1,500 meters in a pristine, selenium-rich environment. Harvested by hand around the Qingming season, it is made exclusively from exceptionally tender young buds, each carefully selected for its purity and delicate character. Naturally rich in amino acids, selenium, and flavonoids, this tea reflects the unique ecological advantages of its high-mountain origin and has been traditionally enjoyed by local communities for generations.
The infusion is bright and clear with an elegant golden color. Its aroma is fresh, clean, and naturally sweet, while the liquor is smooth, mellow, and pleasantly sweet with a full yet delicate mouthfeel. A distinctive natural “silver frost” forms on the surface of the leaves, giving the dry tea its characteristic appearance. The sweetness lingers long after each sip, with a refreshing and persistent aftertaste that becomes increasingly enjoyable through repeated infusions. With its excellent endurance, the tea maintains its smooth texture and sweet character across multiple brews.
Carefully selected young buds are traditionally processed to preserve the tea’s natural character, with particular attention to maintaining its delicate aroma, smooth texture, and naturally sweet flavor. The tea can also be properly rested and stored over time, allowing its character to gradually mellow and develop greater depth. This combination of high-mountain terroir, traditional craftsmanship, and natural transformation gives High Mountain Vine Tea its distinctive balance of freshness, sweetness, and lasting character.
