Made from old, wild tea bushes of a small-leaf varietal, harvested during the Guyu (Grain Rain) period. It features a blend of pineapple and ripe "golden flower" (Eurotium cristatum) aromas, with a sweet, smooth, and delicate taste, and an elegant, clear "golden flower" fragrance.

Ze Wu Fu Cha (泽雾茯茶) (2021 Fu Brick Tea, 7g)

Yu Ling Zi Jing Fu Cha (御岭紫境茯茶) (2022 Fu Brick Tea, 7g)
Made from spring material from hundred-year-old wild tea bushes on Yuntai Mountain and Tianzi Mountain. Low-temperature baking preserves its almond and floral "golden flower" aromas, offering a rich and refined fragrance.

Xia Lu Hua Zhuan Cha (霞露花砖茶) (2022 Flower Brick Tea, 7g)

Yan Jian Hei Fang Hei Zhuan Cha (岩涧黑方黑砖茶) (2021 Hei Zhuan Brick Tea, 7g×2)
The tea trees grow in a rocky terrain, imparting walnut and regional floral notes. Light fermentation allows its fresh aroma and sweetness to be fully expressed, with a persistent sweet aftertaste.

Lu Bu Ting Lan Bai Liang Cha (鹿步汀岚百两茶) (2021 Bai Liang Tea, 7g×2)
From high-mountain forest tea gardens, processed using the intangible cultural heritage method of Seven-Star Stove baking, along with sun and dew exposure. It exudes red bean and water chestnut aromas, offering a naturally perfected flavor.

Wang Qing Yun Tian Jian Cha (望青云天尖茶) (2021 Tian Jian Tea, 7g)

Basic Information

Anhua Dark tea 安化黑茶 was historically a tribute tea for the imperial court. Baishaxi 白沙溪 is the leading brand of Anhua dark tea, established in 1939. It is the birthplace of China’s first Dark Brick Tea 黑砖茶 and first Flower Brick Tea 花砖茶. “Royal Creek 皇家溪” is the premium brand of Baishaxi Tea Factory, and its "The Beauty of Grand Wilderness 大荒之美” tea collection features renowned wild teas from within Anhua County.

This Anhua dark tea tasting collection meticulously brings together eight specially selected teas, all sourced from wild-grown tea plants in the secluded high-mountain tea gardens of Anhua's Xuefeng (雪峰, Snow Peak) Mountains and surrounding areas. Crafted with a blend of traditional and innovative techniques, these teas fully preserve the unique regional character and layered taste of Anhua dark tea, making it an ideal choice for dark tea enthusiasts to explore the terroir and aromatic evolution of Anhua.

This tea collection offers distinct layers and individual characteristics. When brewed lightly, the aromas gradually unfold, with ripe fruit, nutty, and "golden flower" notes intermingling. When boiled, it becomes sweet and smooth like sugar water, with a noticeable sweet aftertaste. The evolving flavor of Yan Jian Hei Fang is particularly recommended: it starts with a fresh aroma, followed by floral and fruity notes, and culminates in a deep character blending wild flowers and nuts, making it suitable for enjoyment in all seasons.

This is a journey of sensory exploration into Anhua dark tea, and also a classic choice presented to connoisseurs of dark tea.

Steeping Guidelines

Easy Mug Brew

Use a tea-to-water ratio of 1:100. Put the leaves directly into a mug, add boiling water, and steep for 5 to 7 minutes. When about one-third of the tea remains, refill with boiling water to continue brewing.

Traditional Gongfu Style

Pre-warm the gaiwan or Yixing teapot. Use a tea-to-water ratio of 1:30. Brew with water at 100°C (212°F). For the first two infusions, steep for about 10 seconds each. Gradually increase the steeping time with each additional infusion. Pour the tea liquor completely out after each brew.

Thermal Steeping

Use a tea-to-water ratio of 1:200. Pour boiling water into a ceramic-lined insulated flask or teapot. Close the lid and let it steep for 1 to 2 hours before drinking. When about one-third of the tea remains, refill with boiling water to continue brewing and enjoying.
