  • Description

The Shi Piao's carefully crafted design not only appeals to the eye but also optimizes the tea brewing process. Its wide base ensures even heat distribution, while its tapered body promotes efficient water circulation. The curved spout facilitates smooth pouring, preventing drips and spills, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable tea-drinking experience. Exquisitely carved with ink plum blossoms, the layout is meticulous and timeless. Enhanced by the finest aged purple clay, the teapot exudes a rich chocolate hue and a lustrous, oily sheen, embodying the essence of aged craftsmanship.

  • Clay

Aged purple clay (老紫泥, Lao Zini) is a type of clay that has been naturally weathered and aged for decades or even centuries, resulting in a unique set of properties that make it ideal for brewing tea. Aged purple clay is a good insulator, which means that it can retain heat well. This helps to keep tea hot for longer periods of time. Aged purple clay teapots have a beautiful, natural appearance that is prized by collectors.
