Description
The Minglu (明炉) teapot draws inspiration from the Xuande Lu, a renowned type of censer produced during the Xuande era of the Ming dynasty (1368-1644). Its simple yet elegant lines, characterized by a low and wide body, exude an aura of tranquility and refinement. Its ergonomic handle provides a comfortable grip, while its wide mouth facilitates easy pouring and filling. The teapot's name, "Minglu," translates to "Ming Dynasty censer," paying homage to its illustrious heritage. Its unglazed surface allows the teapot to interact with the tea, absorbing and retaining its aroma and flavor. Over time, the teapot develops a unique patina, a testament to its many tea sessions, and becomes an integral part of the tea-drinking experience.

Clay
The clay boasts a warm, inviting hue, and its exceptional oil retention properties enhance the teapot's patina with each infusion. Aged purple clay (老紫泥, Lao Zini) is a type of clay that has been naturally weathered and aged for decades or even centuries, resulting in a unique set of properties that make it ideal for brewing tea. Aged purple clay is a good insulator, which means that it can retain heat well. This helps to keep tea hot for longer periods of time. Aged purple clay teapots have a beautiful, natural appearance that is prized by collectors.
