Pear Shape (red clay)

The name Pear Shape (梨形, Lixing) suggests a distinctive shape reminiscent of a pear, characterized by a rounded body and a slender neck. pear-shaped Zisha teapots are also functional and easy to use. The lid of a pear-shaped Zisha teapot is also typically small and round, and it fits snugly on the body of the pot to help keep the tea hot.

Raw Red Clay (生砂朱泥, Shengsha Zhuni) is a type of Zisha clay that has not been subjected to any additional processing or firing, giving it a natural, earthy appearance and a slightly rough texture. The clay is porous, which means that it absorbs some of the flavor of the tea, and this can help to improve the taste of the tea over time.
