Basic Information

Yongchun Foshou Oolong is a prized tea from Fujian, China, celebrated for its unique aroma, which is said to resemble the Buddha's Hand fruit. This tea, also known as Xiangyuan or Snow Pear, thrives in Yongchun County's ideal climate, characterized by generous rainfall, moderate temperatures, and nutrient-rich red soils. Beyond its elegant name and delicate flavor, the tea is also appreciated for its wellness properties. It is traditionally believed to assist with digestion, refresh the mind, and contribute to overall cardiovascular and metabolic health, making it a truly exceptional beverage.

This 2019 vintage of Foshou Oolong, aged for six years, is incredibly smooth and non-stimulating, perfect for relaxing. Its convenient brick shape makes it easy to carry, and it steeps well in a thermos, which helps to release its full flavor.
The tea's key feature is its unique "Foshou rhyme"—a fresh, fruity sweetness. The liquor is fine, and the aroma is full-bodied with notes of milk and flowers. It feels like drinking fresh fruit, leaving your body feeling light and comfortable. After drinking, you'll feel a pleasant warmth, especially in your lower back. Overall, this tea offers a truly comfortable and enjoyable experience.

Steeping Guidelines

Traditional Gongfu Style

Use 5 grams of tea and place it in a gaiwan or a Yixing teapot. Pour in boiling water to brew. For the first five infusions, pour out the tea immediately without resting. From the sixth to the tenth infusion, allow the tea to steep for 5 to 20 seconds before pouring.

Thermal Steeping

Use a tea-to-water ratio of 1:200. Pour boiling water into a ceramic-lined insulated flask or teapot. Close the lid and let it steep for 1 to 2 hours before drinking. When about one-third of the tea remains, refill with boiling water to continue brewing and enjoying.
