Basic Information

Mansong Prince Mountain 曼松王子山, located in Xiangming Yi Ethnic Township 象明彝族乡, Mengla County 勐腊县, Xishuangbanna 西双版纳, Yunnan Province, sits at an elevation of approximately 1,300 meters. It is the most representative origin of small-leaf ancient tree tea in the Yi Bang 倚邦 tea-producing area. The soil here consists of purplish-red weathered shale, which offers excellent aeration, strong water permeability and retention, and is rich in trace elements such as iron and zinc. This unique geological structure, coupled with a superior ecological environment, allows the tea trees to grow slowly and develop rich inner substances, resulting in the distinctive flavor profile of Mansong tea: smooth, sweet, fragrant, and elegant. As early as the Chenghua period (1465-1487) of the Ming Dynasty, Mansong tea was designated as an imperial tribute tea, with tea from Prince Mountain considered especially high in quality. It holds a profound historical heritage and a noble reputation.

This 2024 ripe Pu-erh tea from Mansong Prince Mountain is crafted from small-tree material grown in the region and refined through a clean and standardized fermentation process. The tea liquor is a clear, bright reddish hue, and its first sip reveals a rich, full-bodied flavor—sweet and smooth like honey water. The sweetness lingers from the mouth to the throat, leaving a long-lasting impression. The texture is silky and moist, carrying an elegant woody aroma and a unique "noble fragrance" that is subtle, refined, and unforgettable. It showcases the depth and smoothness of well-made ripe Pu-erh, while preserving the signature cool sensation and delicate layering of Mansong raw material. The tea glides effortlessly down the throat, needing no deliberate swallowing—offering an experience that is silky as oil and refreshingly cool and smooth at a deeper level. As a high-end ripe Pu-erh from a rare and prestigious origin, it stands as a benchmark among aged teas—perfect not only for daily enjoyment but also for long-term collection. This tea is pressed into a chocolate-like shape, making it convenient to carry and brew. It is perfect for enjoying at home, in the office, or while traveling.

Steeping Guidelines

Traditional Gongfu Style

Using a Gaiwan or Yixing teapot, first rinse the teapot or Gaiwan with hot water to warm it up. Then, add around 5-7 grams of tea leaves, depending on the size of the vessel (Tea to Water Ratio: 1:20 ). Pour 212°F (100°C) boiled water over the tea leaves to rinse them, discarding the rinse water quickly. For the first infusion, pour hot water over the tea again, and steeping for about 5 seconds. For subsequent infusions, increase the steeping time by about 5 seconds, adjusting to taste.

Thermal Steeping

Use a tea-to-water ratio of 1:200. Pour boiling water into a ceramic-lined insulated flask or teapot. Close the lid and let it steep for 1 to 2 hours before drinking. When about one-third of the tea remains, refill with boiling water to continue brewing and enjoying.
